A Proverb

 "The rich & the poor have this in common: . . .

. . .The LORD made them both."

~Proverbs 22:2 {New Living Translation}

  1. I really like this, Leah! It's a GREAT verse, and the images you chose to pair with it are perfect for it.

    Recently I've been thinking so much about "imago dei." Many times in the past few weeks, when a prideful or critical or condemning thought pops into my head about another person (particularly about their appearance), it's been quickly followed with "imago dei," and I'm reminded of how God carefully made and passionately loves each of His creatures. Your post helps me be reminded of that, too. Thank you for that!

  2. Thank you Davene! I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

    We all really are more alike than different since we are all made "imago dei." It's difficult for me sometimes to have compassion on the people that fall in the sector of society displayed in the first collage, but sometimes they are the poorest of all! The emptiness of their soul {not all, but some} displayed by their lifestyle quickly reminds me how much compassion we ALL need.

Thank you for taking the time to muse aloud with me,
to share your heart
& allow your thoughts to become words.
